Peel Crime Stoppers
VOLUNTEER APPLICATION FORM
Do you want to make a difference in your community?
Volunteers are central to the success of Peel Crime Stoppers (PCS). We are a civilian-led, community-focused charity that enables anonymous tip processing in partnership with Police and Media to help keep Peel Region safe.
Our vision is to strengthen the community through collaboration and a shared sense of responsibility—creating a Peel where people can confidently live, work, and play. PCS is powered by a dedicated network of volunteers who promote safety, partnerships, and programs that support the well-being of our residents.
Our success is made possible through the support of our valued partners and the commitment of our reliable volunteers. Volunteers assist at community events, helping raise awareness around public safety and crime prevention.
We are currently seeking passionate, committed volunteers who are able to dedicate approximately 1–2 years of active service, with an expectation of volunteering approximately 8-10 hours per month.
From June through October, Peel Crime Stoppers partners with the Lions Farmers Market every Sunday in Mississauga:
Location: 4190 Shipp Drive, Mississauga, ON, L4Z 2Y8
Volunteer Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct outlines the duties and expectations of all PCS volunteers. By accepting a volunteer term of service, volunteers affirm their endorsement of this code and agree to uphold its principles and obligations.
At the beginning of each new term, volunteers must sign a statement confirming they have received, read, and understood the Code of Conduct and all accompanying policies.
Volunteers whose conduct does not align with this code may be subject to appropriate procedures as determined by the Director of Membership and Operations, the Executive Director, and/or referral to the Committee on Professional Conduct where warranted.
To be considered an active volunteer, PCS volunteers are expected to complete two shifts per month between June and October. Shifts typically last 4–5 hours.
PCS volunteers are held to a high standard, as stewardship and professionalism are closely observed by both the community and the leadership team. Volunteers are responsible for managing their availability through a self-scheduling portal overseen by leadership.
If a volunteer is unable to attend a scheduled shift, written notice must be provided at least 24 hours in advance to allow sufficient time for alternate arrangements. Failure to meet participation expectations may result in termination of volunteer service.
